Sarah’s obsession for 80s action movies, 90s thrillers (and Buffy), and a morbid curiosity about the darker ages of history, bleeds into her writing.
As well as screenwriting for both TV and film she is the author of over twenty novels in the YA and psychological thriller genres and has been published by Simon & Schuster, Hachette, Harper Collins and Pan Macmillan. Her books have sold hundreds of thousands of copies and been translated into a dozen languages.
Having spent most of her life in London, Sarah quit her job in 2009 and, together with her husband and toddler daughter, took off on a round-the-world trip (her story of that journey became the book Can We Live Here?).
After almost a year spent travelling the world, during which time her first novel Hunting Lila was published, they settled in Bali, where they lived for four years. In that time Sarah published a further seven YA novels and began also writing screenplays.
Sarah now lives in California and works predominantly as a screenwriter and producer in TV and film, while continuing to publish one to two books a year.
She is currently a writer / producer on the CBS show S.W.A.T. and has several original projects in development. Her feature adaptation of The Weekend Away will soon air on Netflix.
